UPDATE: Chrisitan was released from detention, and is now fighting his deportation case.
Christian Cruz (A#200 836 434) is a 24 year old dreamer from Indianapolis. He arrived to the United States at the age of 6. He is the sole provider and loving father of two U.S. Citizens children, his daughter is 6 years old and his son is 2-years old.
His battle with immigration started in 2010 when he was arrested in Hendricks County in Indiana for driving without a license. Since then he has stayed out of trouble, taking care of his family and saving money to apply for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). Now he is in detention separated from his family.
Immigration is threatening to deport Christian this Friday, October 11the and deny him the opportunity to apply for DACA and raise his kids in Indianapolis. Please support Chrisitan and his family by signing below.
Mr. Ricardo Wong
I am writing in support of Mr. Cruz (A# 200 836 434) to urge you to use prosecutorial discretion to close his case. Mr. Cruz is the sole provider and loving father of two U.S. Citizens children, his daughter is 6 years old and his son is 2-years old. Mr. Cruz arrived to the United States at the age of 6 and is a good candidate for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. He has no criminal record and is not a danger to the community.
Mr. Cruz has been in the United States for 18 years and is a hard-working resident of Indianapolis. He came to the attention of Immigration and Customs Enforcement after driving without a license in 2010 and missing an immigration court in 2011. Last week he was at his friend’s apartment complex when security questioned him, asked him for an ID and found there was a warrant for his arrest. Mr. Cruz is now in custody and is set to be deported on Friday, October 11, 2013.
Mr. Cruz is the sole provider for his two citizen children and wife. He has not been back to his home country in 18 years and is a good candidate for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, before his arrest Christian was saving up for his application. Mr Cruz has no criminal or significant past immigration record. I urge you to use prosecutorial discretion to close his case.
Thank you,
