Father in deportation after defending his son

Francisco Jasso Santoyo is a father of three who has been living in the US for fifteen years. In 2011 immigration agents came to his house looking for his oldest son. Mr. Jasso Santoyo told the agents he did not think it was fair that they take his nineteen-year-old son, and tried to reason with them. Two months after his son’s arrest, Mr. Jasso Santoyo received a notice to appear in front of and immigration Judge. Mr. Jasso Santoyo’s oldest son was deported that year and the family was left to deal with their pain of separation, and their worry that he be hurt in a country he does not know. The family also has had to deal with the possibility if loosing their father.

Mr. Jasso Santoyo, in all his time in the US, has only had one incident with the law in 2005 that left him with a charge of disorderly conduct. Mr. Jasso Santoyo completed all the requirements for that charge. Despite being a hard working father and loving husband, in mid 2014 Mr. Jasso Santoyo was ordered deported. He is the main wage earner for his family; his two youngest children have Deferred Action. Mr. Jasso Santoyo’s youngest daughter wants to be a teacher and has two years left of high school; she needs both her parent’s support to accomplish her dreams. Mr. Jasso Santoyo’s middle son has a lot of anxiety and needs treatment to stay well. He has been hospitalized this last week, with medication, but has not been able to emotionally stabilize himself. He needs his father’s support.  Mr. Jasso Santoyo’s wife and kids need his financial and emotional support.


 

Francisco Jasso Santoyo es un padre de tres hijos que ha vivido en los Estados Unidos desde hace quince años. En el 2011 agentes de inmigración vinieron a su casa buscando a su hijo mayor de diecinueve años de edad. El señor Jasso Santoyo trato de argumentar con ellos para que no se lo llevaran. Dos meses después recibió una cita con un juez para su deportación. Ese mismo año, el hijo mayor del señor Jasso Santoyo fue deportado y la familia tuvo que lidiar no solo con ese dolor de la separación pero también con la preocupación por la posible deportación del señor Jasso Santoyo.

El señor Jasso Santoyo, en todos los años dentro de los Estados Unidos, solo ha tenido un incidente con la ley en el 2005. Recibió cargos menores de conducta desordenada e hizo todo para cumplir con los requisitos. Aun de ser un padre muy trabajador y de solo tener este cargo criminal, al señor Jasso Santoyo le ordenaron salir del país a mediados del año 2014. El señor Jasso Santoyo es el sostén económico de su familia. Su hija mas joven le faltan menos de dos años para acabar la high school y quiere ser maestra. Necesita tener a sus padres con ella. El hijo del señor Jasso Santoyo tiene mucha ansiedad y necesita cuidado para mantenerse bien. Ha estado hospitalizado las ultimas semana, con medicamento, pero no ha podido estabilizarse emocional mente. Necesita el apoyo de su papa. La esposa e hijos del señor Jasso Santoyo necesitan su apoyo emocional y económico.

UPDATE: On December 18, 2014 Jasso got a stay of removal until October 2015.
