#Not1More Deportation

Stop Jerry’s Deportation, Father, Home Owner, Violence Survivor

Jerry Ssebugwawo (A# 073-676-752) is a 47 year old immigrant from the Republic of Uganda, who has lived in the U.S. for over 20 years. He is a dedicated father of 3 children, a nursing manager, a home-owner and a person of deep faith and conviction.

In 1997 he applied for asylum, but it was denied and he was offered voluntary departure. However, Jerry decided to stay and continue his studies, with a scholarship for his bachelors of science degree in nursing. In January of 2012, he was detained and held in confinement for months, during which he witnessed and experienced the harsh treatment of detainees in detention,  from physical and mental violence. He was able to get out of detention thanks to the advocacy of his family and his community, but his deportation case is still open, and his family is still in danger of being separated.

Jerry’s attorneys have filed a motion to re-open the case, so that he can apply for cancellation of removal. Please sign below to send an e-mail to the ICE office dealing with Jerry’s case, in Massachusetts, asking them to take the necessary steps to stop his deportation, and keep this family together.
