Juan Carlos Vera (A# 205 282 375) came to the United States with his parents when he was 11 years old in 1998, graduated from Bolingbrook high school, and established a life for himself in Illinois. He is married to a U.S. citizen with whom he has a 9 month old son, and has another baby on the way. He is currently detained at the McHenry Detention Center, after a human resource person called the police because he was undocumented. The HR employee claimed that it was her “civic duty” to report Juan Carlos.
Juan Carlos is a husband, a Dreamer, and a father who deserves to stay in the U.S. He is an active member of his community, volunteering for get-out the vote and electoral campaigns in his neighborhood. He is the main provider for his family and his deportation would bring economic and emotional hardships for his pregnant wife and his 9 month old son, both of whom are U.S. citizens.
Help us get Juan Carlos back to his family!
