The injunction in Texas v US is a temporary setback, but we have fought too hard together to turn back now. And we won’t allow our voices to be silenced by one bad (and temporary) legal ruling.
Facing a hostile judge is nothing new for immigrants who have labored to make this country a better, more equal place. As the DOJ contemplates its appeal strategy, we must continue to be unified to show that we are on the winning side of history. At NDLON, we have always believed that art can help us imagine a better future, music can be a powerful tool for liberation, and our voices are stronger in a chorus.

La orden judicial en Texas v Estados Unidos es un revés temporal, pero hemos luchado muy duro juntos y no daremos marcha atrás. No vamos a permitir que nuestras voces sean silenciadas por una mala (y temporal) resolución judicial.
Enfrentarse a un juez hostil no es nada nuevo para los inmigrantes que han trabajado para hacer de este país un mejor, y un lugar con más igualdad.
A medida que el Departamento de Justicia contempla su estrategia de apelación, debemos continuar unidos para demostrar que estamos en el lado ganador de la historia.
