Lauriano Garcia-Zelaya (A#098-044-219) has two U.S. citizen children and serves as a father figure to his partner’s son. He has lived in the U.S. for more than 10 years, has no criminal record, and yet he was denied prosecutorial discretion by the New Orleans ICE Office.
Lauriano’s wife and children, Angie Garcia-Castro (3 years old) and Michael Garcia (4 years old), continue to advocate on his behalf, hoping that he will not be deported. Lauriano also serves as a father figure to his partner’s son Angel Castro-Trochez. Angel is currently in the 2nd grade at Johnson Gretna Park Elementary in Gretna, LA. Lauriano was detained during an immigration enforcement operation raiding an apartment complex. Although he didn’t live in the apartment, immigration agents used racial profiling to target him. When he was detained, he was not allowed to call his wife for several hours.
Lauriano is not a threat to the community or to national security in any way. To the contrary, he is an honest, hard working father who has dedicated his life and effort to the well being of his children. Please support Lauriano and his family.
Please help us increase the pressure on immigration, to keep this family together, and stop the deportation of Lauriano.
